Our next ride is from just outside Rosemarket on 2nd September 2018.  Please make an application soon, as it is limited to 25 riders this time.

We'd love to meet new members and tell you about our next rides in September and October.
Email me at pennypbba@gmail.com if you want more information about joining , or would like to come along to a social event without joining, just to meet us and say hi.  Our aim is to double our membership this year and provide something for everyone to enjoy.

We ran a barbecue in spite of the weather on 28th July which was very successful in terms of fun, attendance and fund raising.....we made £100.00 to donate to PBBA with generous amounts of hard work organisation and kind use of the Howell's home to accommodate us all ! Outdoor games indoors, and outdoor games outdoors, for those brave enough to face the weather. Tony Organ, in prelude to his 'Tabletop Sweepstake' told us about a jockey from yesteryear, Percy Evans, who was born in  ..... Mastlebridge!. He apparently was a very successful jockey in his day and born very locally to the Howell's -
Such a shame the weather didnt hold good for us over that weekend, but the outcome was great. Thank you Jane.

Our next social event is a Mexican Fiesta at Hazelbeach on 18th August 2018 - now fully booked !
Sorry if youve missed it, but we will schedule some more social events this Autumn/Winter, and publish them here.

Advice on SUMMER riding - please make sure your horse is well hydrated and has water available at the end of a ride.
Fly protection is a must and observation for overheating in this unusually hot weather. Please don't expect an unfit horse to come out of the field without any preparation and complete a long ride - even fit horses can be adversly affected.  Ultimately the decision to ride or not is yours, but remember that horses don't lose heat in the same way humans do, and are liable to heat stroke. If you are feeling the heat they are too, only more so.
( We may have to consider restricting distance due to soaring temperatures....Please always bring water to refresh them post PBBA rides, before going home).
